The template spec.queryRef carries verifierId, queryId, an optional pinned version (null follows the latest active version) and an optional bindingId when the template should follow a verifier binding's pinned version. verifierDesignId selects the verifier design, and request_defaults holds stable parts of the authorization request merged before each execution. A template can also carry its own OID4VP_REQUEST_TEMPLATE trust attachment, the most specific level of the cascade.
